About SiteFuse

A small software workshop for WordPress.

SiteFuse is an independent UK plugin maker building practical tools with narrow purposes, small footprints and proper documentation.

The reason for the name

Useful functionality, fused cleanly into a site.

WordPress plugins are powerful, but a small feature should not require a sprawling dashboard, an account and a collection of code that loads everywhere. SiteFuse exists to make the smaller tool: focused, understandable and dependable.

“Practical plugins. Nothing more.”

SiteFuse working rule

How we build

The standards each plugin has to meet.

01

One clear job

A plugin should begin with a specific need, not an excuse to become a platform.

02

The footprint is part of the feature

Code size, runtime dependencies, requests and stored data deserve the same attention as visible controls.

03

Say what it does not do

Honest boundaries help people choose the right tool and keep products maintainable.

04

Own the whole release

Documentation, changelogs, compatibility, security and support are product work too.

05

Respect the visitor

No surprise telemetry, unnecessary accounts or hidden external services.

06

Useful free means useful

A free edition should solve the stated problem—not merely advertise that the solution exists.
